Great Riders aren't born. They're Made.

The motorcycle foundation safety course taught at Big Swamp in Alabama is the same course offered in all states. Successful completion of the course qualifies one for savings on motorcycle insurance. Currently the Georgia DMV does not recognize successful completion of any motorcycle training in Alabama as a substitute for the driving part of the license requirement. However, we at Chattahoochee accommodate our Georgia customers who successfully complete our Alabama Course by transporting one of our training motorcycles to the DMV test facility at a time set up by our customer to take the test. If one can pass the motorcycle safety test at the riding academy, the DMV test is easier by comparison.

Big Swamp Harley Davidson is proud to offer the New Rider Course through Harley-Davidson's own Riding Academy. This course has been meticulously designed to give students specific individual attention to maximize graduation success. We are located in Opelika, AL, and will have the Alabama Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Coaches to help create a custom learning style for all ages, and all riders.

We are offering a 3 day course provided from the State of Alabama Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). The BRC is designed primarily for those who have limited or no riding experience, or for those who have been away from riding for a number of years. The course includes an on-line pre-course session (level 1 knowledge), classroom instruction (level 2 knowledge), and riding skills exercises (level 1 & 2 on motorcycle skills). It begins with the basics of controls, turning, shifting and stopping. After registration, a student will receive an e-mailed confirmation package at their e-mail address on the registration form. The package will contain a confirmation letter, a pass code for the MSF Basic eCourse, an Insurance Waiver, a Statement to Students, and directions to the training site. Students must complete the MSF basic ecourse, and print the end of course certificate, and bring it with you to the first day of class. If you do not complete, or supply the end of course certificate upon arrival, you will not be allowed to participate in the course. Additionally, students should read and sign the Insurance Waiver and Statement to Students and bring to the course.
